CFC Charlotte: March Teaching Assembly Foundations for Christian Living Talk 3: Growing in Faith Sharing the joy of God’s word,
His loving message and abundant mercy thru teaching assembly is truly a gift and a blessing to our brothers and sisters in our Charlotte CFC community. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8. The teaching assembly last March 12th with North Charlotte as the service team was a truly spirit filled event with so many blessings and miracles throughout the event. We started with a very warm welcome from our gracious host Bro Paul and Sis Gayle Fitzgerald. Praise and worship was led by Bro Urbain with Baltazar family providing amazing and spirit lifting music and songs. We opened the program with inspirational sharing by Handmaid of the Lord (HOLD) Sister Anayansi Bent video depicting how brotherhood and sisterhood at Couples for Christ manifest God’s commandment of loving our neighbor. Sister Anayansi talked about the outpouring love from CFC community especially during the very sad death of family members. And most importantly she described how we as brothers and sisters in Christ care and support each other spiritually in our life and faith journey. Our blessing continues; we have Bro Ronnie Calungcaguin as our speaker and share with us the Lord’s message of how we can strengthen our faith and embolden ourselves as we fortify our journey with our goal of being united with our God in His heavenly kingdom. The message is quite clear from our speaker – that our Faith is an active, external response and not just an internal emotion. And we cannot grow in faith by our own efforts only, we first and foremost need the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit and surround ourselves with people and community that will hold our hands as we traverse the road less travelled. A remarkable and very powerful teaching from Bro Ronnie with concrete actionable steps and it just takes us to say yes and choose Him and His will. Then we proceed with group discussion thru breakout sessions of smaller groups. Everyone is so engaged and enthusiastic. This is the pinnacle of our event, our brothers and sisters are able to share their experiences and how it impacts the life that they live now with God’s presence and amazing grace and mercy. As a community we honor March birthday celebrants and couples celebrating wedding anniversaries with prayers led by Bro Ross. Then we pause for a moment and prayed over our community Prayer Requests and Petitions. We encourage all our brothers and sisters to send their petitions and requests so as a community we will be united in praying for each other. Praise God for the gift of CFC community and the blessing of teaching assemblies where we are all gathered virtually but still with one purpose to strengthen, comfort and support each other in our faith journey.
