HIGHLIGHTS OF Q4
By the grace of God, the Family Ministries overcame hurdles and continued their virtual events in the fourth quarter of 2020.
CFC Youth conducted an area-wide Covenant Orientation in October.
CFC Singles for Christ USA held the week-long “Fully Alive” conference also in October.
CFC Kids celebrated All Saints Day with a virtual parade of saints.
CFC Handmaids of the Lord and Servants of the Lord kept their national monthly teachings going until before the holidays.
As the year was coming to an end, the ministry leaders and coordinators looked back to the challenges and victories of the past months with gratitude and looked forward to the future with hope for, truly, God has shown His divine providence amidst uncertain times.
LOOKING TOWARD THE NEW YEAR
In a recent online talk by CFC Family Ministries Director Lawrence Quintero, he presented the following thrusts of the directorate for 2021:
1. Streamline evangelization efforts
2. Care and connect with every member
3. Everyone expresses love for the poor
4. Pastoral governance
Bro Lawrence also shared his personal reflection on his mission work in South Africa some years back. What he learned from that experience became his guiding principles, listed below, in exercising pastoral governance. These can be good guiding principles as we care for one another in this new year and beyond.
• CHRIST first before community
• PEOPLE first before program
• SPIRIT first before structure
