Love is a Many- Splendored Thing: A Charlotte Chapter Valentine Celebration

The Charlotte Chapter held its Valentines celebration last February 12, 2021 via Zoom. It was a joyful virtual gathering celebrating love. The theme of the assembly was, “Love is a Many Splendored Thing”. Inspired by the verses in Isaiah 35:1-2, the celebration centered on the wonderful splendor of the Lord, the God of Love, the life giver, life changer, and life everlasting. One of the highlights of the evening was sharing stories about God’s love. Some of our brothers and sisters gave uplifting testimonies on how the splendors of God’s love manifest in their lives. Couples shared their love stories – about how they fell in love, perseverance in pursuing the love of their life, patience in dealing with distance and time, and how they keep their marriage blissfully intact. Whether it was love at first sight or friendship turned romance, their stories are definitely bestseller novel and K- drama material.

God’s love strengthens one’s faith, hope and love. This is a perspective shared by many about how the love of God helped them overcome challenges and obstacle in life. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19) and as we continue to know and love God, our transformation to holiness become imminent.

Watch snippets of their sharing:

What is Love?

When we first met……

How did you know he/she was the ONE?

What is your secret of a happy marriage?

When did I feel so much love?

Another highlight of the assembly was the lively and engaging talk given by Bro. Romy Dacayanan on being “Sons and Daughters of God”. Through Baptism, we become God’s adopted sons and daughters. As His children, we share in the inheritance of the saints (Col 1:12). This inheritance includes salvation, strength, hope, peace, comfort, providence, fellowship and so much more. Our inheritance is enormous and immeasurable because it is everything that the Father has.

It was indeed a gathering filled with God’s splendor!
