In our role as Catholic Church Relations Office Coordinator for the East Chapter, we normally send a summary of our ministry’s activities for the year to the Diocese of Raleigh.
In our letter to His Excellency, Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama dated November 20, 2020, we summarized the 2020 CFC activities by directorate and told the Bishop that:
“In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, we continued to conduct virtual pastoral formation programs for our existing members. As part of our evangelistic efforts, we conducted two Virtual Christian Life Programs this year which had participation from around 30 individuals. It is our desire to reach out to more people to share God’s love. CFC wants to rise in defense of the family and to bring God’s strength and light to those who are struggling to be truly Christian families in the modern world. We have so much to offer to the parishes of the Diocese and we would like to request your Excellency for your blessing to continue to offer these programs to these parishes. We will remain in communication with and accountable to you through the Office of Evangelization and Discipleship.”
The Bishop’s response to our letter was expedient. Along with the updated Diocese of Raleigh Endorsement for Couples for Christ dated November 24, 2020, he wrote us this sweet note:
